Additional Property Attributes

The Phase II revealed the presence of several PAHs and metals above regulatory thresholds for industrial and residential use. The City entered into a Non-responsible Party Voluntary Cleanup Contract with the State of South Carolina to further address the concerns. The first step is complete a site-specific risk assessment based on the recreational youth trespasser - rather than an on-site resident - due to the planned future end use of the property as a public park. Should the risk assessment determine the constituents are above site-specific thresholds, the City will look for other means to address the concerns.

Former Use: The subject property is currently vacant - and currently owned by Home of Hope, Inc. The propery has historically been residential - but the location is adjacent to parcels with known groundwater contamination.
