Site has been a gas station since 1950's. Former auto repair also. Developer is Johnson C. Smith University, historic black college in Charlotte, wishes to lease property and develop a campus bookstore. Not allowed to use Brownfield Assessment grant to continue into Phase 2 due to primary REC's being petroleum UST related. No Phase 2 or Cleanup work conducted.

Former Use: Residential up until late 1950's. Developed as gas/service station in late 1950's. Remodeled in mid-1970's. Currently continues as gas station/c-store with other small retail mobile phone, restaurant and tatto parlor
