Additional Property Attributes

Current owner is in bankruptcy. The redevelopment of this site is a high priority for the local municipality, East Deer. Site is well located on Allegheny River with convenient access to State Route 28 and Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Former Use: Phase I was financed under the Hazardous portion of the Assessment Grant. Then the eligibility determination was received from the State, and the Phase II will be financed under the Petroleum Portion of the grant. For the last 15 years, the site was owned by Pitt Penn Oil, who distributed oils and other liquids for motor vehicle maintenance. Property has been vacant for approximately 2 years. In September of 2009, there was a spill in the facility that caught fire.
