Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Managaha island is approximately 1.6 miles off the west coast of Saipan in the Tanapag lagoon and is 13.2 acre. It lies within the marine conservation area and is zoned for public resource; the island is owned by the Department of Public Lands. It is currently occupied and used for recreation, education, and cultural events. Developments in the island consist of a pier, picnic areas, a trail, fenced shearwater bird nesting areas, food services areas including bathroom facilities, vendor sales,four abandoned bunkers, etc. There are ten mounds containing drums and other metal s, one area contained a pile of decomposing marine batteries, and one area that contained potentially war era bullets.
