BTA was conducted for prospective purchaser to complete the due diligence process for property acquisition. RECs were identified as potential petroleum contaminants associated with the historical use of the property as a gasoline service station from 1928 to 1965. Based on results from the Phase II, contaminants of concern were not detected in soil above risk. However, a former underground storage tank is still present on the property and the project has been transferred to the KDHE Storage Tank Program for evaluation of potential tank removal and additional assessment.
