Property Highlights

The site was repurposed into the urban campus of Lakeshore Techinical College. The building was repurposed into classrooms and offices while the remainder of the site added parking and green space. Though not part of the assessment project, the City of Sheboygan rebuilt Niagara Avenue as part of the overall effort as well.

Former Use: As early as 1903, the site was used as a wood yard. By 1949, a City Tool & Storage building, which included repair shops, equipment storage areas, a paint shop, and an office, was present. It was used for this purpose through at least 1955. On a portion of the property was a City garbage incinerator, but is now a gravel surface with a boat launch to the Sheboygan River. The other portion of the site contains a building with gravel and paved parking areas.
