Additional Property Attributes

Draft Brownfields Agreement with the State of North Carolina has been finalized but not adopted. New developer is making an offer that could change the scope of work plan for cleanup. (PPF-Elk Mountain Landfill, 2/7/06; PPF attached to QR 1, 10/1/05-12/31/05) BF Agreement signed, approved cleanup grant complete, property sold to new developer, additional cleanup planned, final reports forthcoming. (PPF - Elk Mountain Landfill (now called Reynolds Valley), 4/30/07) Final reports filed, potential BF RLF loan applicant, redevelopment jobs and permanent jobs estimated to exceed 3000 (PPF - Reynolds Valley, 7/31/07).

Former Use: Former City of Asheville MSW landfill on 90 acres of property near Town Center, previously private ownership, then a nine-hole municipal golf course after ownership taken by Town. (PPF - Elk Mountain Landfill (now called Reynolds Valley), 4/30/07) The property was sold by Town to Reynolds Mountain Development Group after determining cleanup needs and acquiring Brownfields Agreement (PPF - Reynolds Valley, 7/31/07)
