Additional Property Attributes

The Old Cascade County Jail was constructed in the 1920s right next to the Cascade County Courthouse to serve as the County Jail. It was in use until the new County Jail was constructed on the top of Gore Hill. It has been vacant for many years. A Phase One was completed with GFDA's Assessment Grant in 2015. The County used the subgrant to abate the asbestos and lead?based paint. The cleanup will allow for the renovation of the building so that Cascade County can facilitate redevelopment of the site when a reuse is identified by the County.
