Additional Property Attributes

Formerly part of DOW AFB

Former Use: The Site building was originally constructed in 1958 for use by the U.S. Air Force as the Dow Air Force Base officer's club. The Site was granted to the University of Maine and was used by the Maine Air National Guard following Dow's decommissioning as a U.S. Air Force base in 1968. The Site was later granted to the City of Bangor (City), who remains the owner of the property. The Air National Guard and Army National Guard continued to use the property until approximately 2016 under an agreement with the University and City. The property has remained vacant since the Air National Guard and Army National Guard left in 2016.
