Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: In the 1970s the subject property housed the Standard Machine and Fabrication, Inc. a foundry and metal stamping plant. In 1987 Mountain Iron, Inc. DBA American Industrial Recycling (AIR) acquired the subject property. Mountain Iron operated a recycling and incineration operation for disposal of petroleum-contaminated soils in an approximate 20,000 square foot building (known as AIR Facility) situated on the 1.30 acres site. By the late 1990?s, the AIR facility ceased operations. Remnants of the AIR Facility remain as a partially demolished building. US EPA Response took control of further assessment activities on or around April 2019. Any Phase II ESA activity costs performed under this grant title are associated with work to prepare a Sample and Analysis Plan prior to Coalition deferring to the US EPA Emergency Response Program as well as coordination with the US EPA team during transition.
