Additional Property Attributes

These 4 former commercial buildings were acquired by the Town of Allendale in an effort to spur redevelopment/reuse. The buildings are deteriorated An asbestos survey was needed to determine if abatement was necessary prior to renovation of the buildings for use. Asbestos was found on texture of plaster, joint compound, window glaze, window adhesive, floor tiles, roofing, floor tile mastic, roof flashing, coping sealant, courtyard wall flashing, and remnant sheetrock walls. Thus, abatement is necessary prior to renovation.
Redevelopment planning was performed on these properties. A building condition survey and a structural stability survey were conducted on these buildings to assist in redevelopment planning. The total cost for these 2 surveys was $13,461. A redevelopment plan that includes these buildings was prepared by Cardno for the Town of Allendale with grant funds.
