Additional Property Attributes

The subject property is currently used as a storage facility from the past operations at the subject property. The subject property is approximately five acres in size. An approximate 17,330 square-foot, metal building is located in the center of the eastern portion of the subject property. The building consists of a warehouse portion and office space portion. The office space portion is two stories. There are four freights located on the subject property that are either empty, used for storage of former raw material (O-rings), or used for storage of components of former equipment. The grassy area on the southern portion is maintained and groomed, but the northern portion of the site is covered in overgrown vegetation. A concrete drive allows access onto the southern portion of the subject property from Rubber Way to the south of the southern adjoining property. The southwestern corner of the subject property is developed with a concrete foundation from a former building - which burned down - on the subject property. Concrete areas for loading, parking, and product storage are located to the south, west, and north of the on-site building. A tire fire at the southwestern portion of the subject property reportedly occurred from May 17, 2002, to May 18, 2002. The removal and disposal of the tires were overseen by the EPA. The EPA determined that no site assessment work was needed, and the site was not listed on the NPL. In a June 1, 2000 correspondence from U.S. Rubber to MDEQ, U.S. Rubber reported a ground rubber discharge/contamination created by Rouse Rubber Industries, Inc. The ground rubber reportedly reached LeTourneau Lake, which is located northwest of the subject property.
