Additional Property Attributes

6 new FTE jobs were leveraged once the property moved onto the property and began operations expansion. No redevelopment activity beyond cleanup was necessary in order for the property owner to begin operations on the property. All existing buildings were habitable and ready to use. Cleanup information. Soil pesticides: 2,4-D (D016); 2,4,5-T (U232); pentachlorophenol (U242); dieldrin (P037); lindane (U129); DDT (U061); DDD (U060); toxaphene (P123); chlordane (U036); aldrin (P004). Liquid pesticides: toxaphene (P123); chlordane (U036); aldrin (P004); benzene (U019); toulene (U220); xylene (U239).

Former Use: In early 1950s property was developed as a Kaiser Frazer automobile plant. The plant was later taken over by Willy's motors; however, auto manufacturing ceased in the late 1950s. In 1959, Miller Products Company acquired the property and began formulating horticultural chemicals. In 1996, W.R. Grace & Company purchased certain assets of Miller including this facility. Chas. H. Lily owned the facility from 1970 unti 1996 when production ceased. The business was sold in 198, the name was changed to CHL Administration and the property was retained as its only asset.
