Former Use: The site consists of 2 lots. One is located at 17 Jackson Street while the other is an empty wooded lot adjacent to the 17 Jackson Street parcel referred to as land on Bridge Street. These privately owned parcels were once part of the adjacent, historic manufactured gas plant, but the building on 17 Jackson Street is only used now for storage. The City has evaluated sites in this area on which to construct a sanitary disinfection unit as part of it's CSO upgrade project. This site had the highest overall ranking for suitability, however, it also had the highest risk for potential contamination.
