Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Wildcat Creek tributaries are a small part of the former Arcade Mill site. Since the mill's opening in 1887, uses at the facility have included the production and sizing of cotton broad cloth and gabardine, production and distribution of fiberglass bathtubs/showers, and commission dyeing/finishing of knit fabrics. In 2002, The Rock Hill Council of Neighborhoods purchased the site along with 27 adjacent vacant properties to further revitalization efforts in the Hagins-Fewell Neighborhood. The Arcade Mill site housed a 110,000 square foot mill that included a weave shed, which is part of the main two-story section of the mill that was destroyed by the fire, a boiler room, warehouse, and machine shop. The specific owner/operator history of the site to-date is listed below (last known addresses of owner/operators available upon request).
